Format: Activity | Duration: 30 minutes | Target audience: Secondary students (Years 7–10), Adults, Leaders, Educators, Parents
Objective
Grounded in Snyder's Hope Theory and its more recent dynamic systems reconceptualisation (Colla et al., 2022), the template translates the science of hope into a simple, visual planning page that individuals or groups can use to clarify what they hope for, why it matters, how they'll get there, what will keep them going, and who will support them along the way.
This A4 template is a practical goal-setting and wellbeing tool that helps users build hope by mapping out a meaningful goal across four interconnected dimensions:
-
WhyPower: pursuing a meaningful and valuable goal;
-
WayPower: finding pathways to achieve a desired goal;
-
WillPower: sustaining motivation and energy;
-
WePower: engaging and connecting with others.
It also includes a section for tracking progress and adapting the plan as needed.
